About Us

How did Angry Bee get started?

During my first year as a beekeeper, I removed a very large wild hive from an old abandoned house in the country. The bees had lived in the wall for over seven years and built a nest of an estimated 130,000 honey bees. It was amazing to see what those feral bees had created. I carefully removed the bees and their nest. I transferred them to our bee boxes and brought them to our apiary. These untamed, wild Texas bees were the catalyst to creating the Angry Bee brand. We love bees, especially the angry ones.

Family History

The following family photo depicts my great-great-grandfather and great-grandfather who were both farmers.

Family History
My grandparents were self-sufficient farmers, from a long line of farmers. I’ve always envied their knowledge of growing food, keeping bees and making soap. My family has been farming and keeping bees for over five generations. We have a deep family history with the small towns of Praha and Flatonia, Texas. One belief instilled by my grandparents is that we live longer, healthier lives by not rushing mother nature to provide the food we eat. I want to share our passion for natural quality with you. Raw honey is one of nature’s best sweeteners. The taste changes with the season depending on what flowers are blooming. From honey to lip balm, our products are handmade in the U.S.A. right here in Texas.
